Amanda & Paul’s Saskatoon Wedding

Amanda and Paul are a couple of Canadian expats. They both grew up in Saskatoon, but have been making a life for themselves in London, England over the past few years. Having met while students at the University of Saskatchewan, they thought it would be most fitting if their wedding took place on the campus. They were were surrounded by many family and friends on their wedding day, and I was very grateful to be a part of it.

Here are some of my favourite photos from the day I spent with them.

Lindsey & Scott’s Saskatoon Wedding

When I met Lindsey and Scott last year I knew that they were going to be a fun couple to work with. And when I met their attendants at the rehearsal the night before the wedding it was clear that their entire group was going to be a blast to spend some time with.

I spent the morning with Lindsey and her bridesmaids at the Saskatoon Inn as they got ready for the day. The atmosphere was extremely calm and relaxing, making it easy for me to focus on getting some great shots. Before we knew it, it was time to head to St. John’s Cathedral in the heart of downtown Saskatoon. We loaded into the limo and were on our way.

Following the ceremony the wedding party and I made our way around Saskatoon capturing as many photos of the newly weds as we could. We had lots of time before the reception so we were able to take our time. Like I expected, Scott, Lindsey, and everyone in their party were all about having a good time. All I had to do was point my camera at them and capture the moment.

Here are some of my favourite photos I made that day.

Shannon & Jamie’s Saskatoon Engagement

Shannon and Jamie are getting married this winter in Saskatoon where I will have the honour of photographing their day. The three of us spent an evening together a couple of weeks ago to make some engagement photographs. We planned well since it has rained almost non-stop since that night.

We spent our time together at Diefenbaker Park which also is home to Saskatoon’s Disc Golf course. As we set up our shots that evening, we also had to dodge Frisbees flying our way. Before we even got our first shot off we heard someone yell “fore” to which we looked up just in time to see a disc fly by our heads. That was the closest call we had.

Here are some of my favourite photographs from the evening. I really like the ones we got with Jamie’s classic Firebird.

Sharlene & Kelly’s Winter Wedding in Saskatoon

Sharlene and Kelly were married a few days after Christmas in Saskatoon. Keeping with the unprecedented mild winter temperatures we had been seeing, their wedding day was no different. To go along with the awesome weather was a fantastic couple and their wedding party. Even though we had very little time between the ceremony and the reception for making photographs, everyone involved just went with the flow and had a great time. They made my job pretty easy.

The dinner and reception was at Boomtown in the Western Development Museum. The evening was filled with hilarious, as well as emotional toasts to the couple from their family and close friends. I always appreciate getting to see this window into the life of a couple that I’ve gotten to know over the last year or so.
